As part of WEB101 I am trying to create an online presence (Blog) that links me to other web 2.0 services. I decided to use Facebook, twitter,delicious and last.fm.
I am not a blogger. Actually I do not usually contribute online unless it is Facebook. That is why I have chosen Blog as my main central node because I need help in creating an online presence.

According to Jon Sobel (2010) another important trend is the influence of women and mom bloggers on the blogosphere, mainstream media, and brands and their impact is perhaps felt most strongly by brands, as the women and mom blogger segment is the most likely of all to blog about brands.

What is Blogger?
Blogger gives you a way to automate (and greatly accelerate) the blog publishing process without writing any code or worrying about installing any sort of server software or scripts. And yet, it still gives you total control over the look and location of your blog.
I chose to use a custom template created by http://suckmylolly.com// because I felt that blog didn’t offer the image I wanted to portray with their templates. They offer free blog templates and assistance if required. It was nice not to have to use a generic template. Also I am promoting this business in return and have permission to use it. I liked the white background and picture of a pin up girl, which was hard to find.

This template is perfect for my tradition and progress blog.

I also added Facebook and twitter badges on the right side that link back to my blog.
People can follow this blog by clicking the follow button and I have added a blog roll with relevant blogs that deal with family and tradition, marriage and study.
After researching gadgets I found one Feedjit that tracks visitors that I thought would make a nice addition to this blog.
